PSA South East 7th September 2021: Back In The Room!

Yes folks, we are back in the room for our September event and we can’t wait to see everyone in 3D again!

It’s not at our usual venue but at Bromley Court Hotel, which is convenient by car or public transport – trains to Bromley South and Bromley North.

And we’ve got a great line-up to ensure that it’s worth travelling to Bromley on 7th September.

It’s all getting a bit fishy round here…

Our South East speaker is Mel Loizou, a long-time member and part of last year’s fab Presidential duo with Ges Ray.

How do you deal with adversity, toxic situations, or challenges?

Do you always know exactly what you are going to do, or do you sometimes feel completely overwhelmed and stuck?

In her rather dark talk, Mel will share with you her fish climb trees philosophy. It has been designed to help individuals, teams and organisations understand what fishnets may be holding them back and help them shift from that place of believing they can’t to one where they absolutely know they can!

You’ll learn:
• What fishnets may be holding you back
• How you can manage these fishnets, so they do longer keep you stuck, so that
• You too can be a fish that climbs a tree!

And our main speaker of the evening is the fabulous Michelle Mills-Porter.

In her Masterclass, Michelle will deliver a short version of her keynote, The Magnificence of Humanity.

Then, by reverse engineering various stages throughout her talk, she will explain what she has done and why she did that, whilst sharing alternative strategies that you could use in your own talks.

We will explore such questions as “When is it RIGHT to share your story?”, “Why are stories so important?” and
“When should you NOT share?”.

Along with your own thoughts and ideas about your own stories and how to weave them into your talks, Michelle will leave us with a host of her personal strategies for connecting with your audience.

Come armed with outlines of stories that you may want to share and questions to be discussed.

We’ll also be having showcase speeches from Louise Camby and George Anderson.

And more…

Last month’s fun active networking session was a real blast and we’ve got more fun lined up for September.

We look forward to seeing you in our friendly region where you’ll always be sure of a great welcome!

Book your ticket now!

Having trouble booking your ticket? Click here to open the booking page directly, please read the below important information before booking.

Cancellation Policy: Please be aware that we do not accept cancellation of bookings for PSA meetings, as we make arrangements to support the number of places booked and incur costs that cannot often be recovered. If you have booked a place at a PSA event and are no longer able to attend, please ask around your local PSA community to see if another speaker wishes to attend in your place – we’re happy for you to transfer your booking, and just ask that you let us know by emailing [email protected].

Processing your personal data: Please note that when you book an event your data will be processed in accordance with the PSA’s Privacy Notice. When you register to attend a PSA event, we share your name and contact details with the person running the event. For regional meetings, this will be the Regional President. Welcome to PSA South East

The South East Region was set up in January 2015 and is a friendly and fun place to learn and network with fellow speakers. We cover Kent, Surrey and Sussex but of course, always welcome PSA members and guests from across the country.

Where we meet

When we’re not meeting online, our events are held at the lovely Brands Hatch Place Hotel which is just a couple of miles off the M25, so easily accessible from all around our region.

When we meet

Meetings are usually on a Tuesday and from 2021 onwards we’ll be meeting 9 times a year, in January, February, March, May, June, July, September, November and December.

We also encourage our members to arrange one-to-ones with other members to learn more about what they do and how they can help one another.
