The Speaking Business Summit October 2020 is moving online

We have received some very positive responses to our announcement regarding the Speaking Business Summit taking place online this October – it’s great to know people are as excited about the opportunities this affords us as we are.

If you haven’t watched the video yet from National President Steve Bustin, please take a look below – make sure to watch all ten minutes to hear all the information!

There have already been a number of questions raised as a result of the announcement so we’ve put together the below FAQs which will hopefully provide you with answers to many of your questions. If we can help further please do contact the office.

FAQs: Refunds and Accommodation

Q: You mentioned tickets for the event will be refunded, when will these be issued?

A: The refunds have been issued via Eventbrite and should take 7 business days to reach your account (from date of receipt of the confirmation email from Eventbrite).

Q: If I no longer have the card I paid from what happens with my refund?

A: Refunds issued via eventbrite are returned to the card/account that was used to make the purchase. If your account is closed or you’ve had a replacement card and the refund still isn’t appearing in your account after 15 days, please contact your card issuer. They’ll be holding the funds for you and will be able to arrange a transfer to your new account.

Q: Can I transfer my ticket to a future event rather than receive a refund?

A: Unfortunately not, all refunds have been issued.

Q: What happens to my accommodation booking?

A: If you have booked accommodation with Warwick Conferences using the PSA link a refund should already have been issued to you. If you have booked accommodation via another method please contact them directly as unfortunately The PSA is unable to assist.

Q: When will I be able to buy tickets?

A: Soon! The programme is currently being reworked and we will be in touch with the details.

Q: Will there be any social or networking events at the Summit? 

A: Yes – watch this space for details! 

Q: Do I have to attend the whole online event?

A: It’ll be a single ticket for the whole Summit but you can then pick and choose which sessions you attend. 

Q: Is it taking place over the same dates in October? 

A: The exact dates are to be confirmed but centred around the same weekend of 9-11 October. 

Q: Will the online Summit simply be a lot of Zoom calls? 

A: We hope not, we are currently looking at options, watch this space!

Q: What sessions will I be able to watch and take part in at The Summit? 

A: The programme is currently being reworked, watch this space for details.

Q: Will Speaker Factor still be taking place this year?

A: Yes, Speaker Factor will be moving online this year. There are more details here or please speak with your regional president.

Q: What’s happening about the Fringe sessions? I submitted an idea and haven’t heard anything.

A: We’re hoping to run at least some of the Fringe sessions submitted and you’ll be hearing from the Fringe coordinator in the next few weeks.
