20th March 2021: Unleash your inner hero, make it visible and get more bookings
Spring is almost here and this month we have two great speakers who’ll put a spring in your step by helping you to speak more and speak better.
We’re still on Zoom 🙂
8.30 am – Before the meeting actually starts we have an optional Mindfulness session as well as networking, banter and chat.
9.00 am – Log on for some networking and a warm welcome.
9.15 am – The meeting will start promptly.
So who do we have for you this month?
Your Business Will Fail in 2021 Unless …
What’s the best way to develop a successful speaking business?
You might think all you need is to become a really great speaker. That’ll help, but it’s not enough.
You actually need to become a Marketing Expert. Being good at marketing isn’t enough. Knowing a bit about marketing and how to promote your speaking business is OK, but that’s where your competitors are.
To build a truly successful speaking business that brings you the income, clients and speaking gigs you want, you have to look at marketing differently. You have to learn to love it and be excited about spending time promoting yourself. Only when you do this and become a Marketing Expert, can you become a brilliant speaker.
By listening to this talk, you’ll see that marketing is not rocket science!
* You’ll understand why having a strategy for your marketing is more important than how much marketing you actually do.
* You’ll see how to simplify your marketing into just three simple elements – yes, just three!
* You learn which tools you can use to keep going, when it feels like it’s taking too long to build your speaking business or win a new client.
Chantal Cornelius has been working with successful business owners and speakers for more than 20 years, helping them to become Marketing Experts.
She is a Fellow of the PSA and the PSA’s Marketing Director. When she’s not turning her clients into marketing experts, you’ll find her out riding her one horse.
Creativity: Releasing the Inner Superhero
The world is changing at an ever increasing pace, but the decisions we make and the behaviours that we display are based on models of “reality” which are based on our understanding of the outdated patterns from the past. We MUST find ways of challenging these patterns, to free up our thinking, to generate fresh and novel (i.e. creative) ideas that then feed innovation.
This Online Masterclass will demonstrate how creativity can remove the blockages that operate within everyone’s minds, to unleash the power of Breakthrough Thinking, to generate ideas that are both novel and useful. A culture of creativity can substantially differentiate a business, attracting and retaining the best staff whilst enhancing added value.
By the end of this session you’ll have:
* an understanding of the strategic benefit of adopting creative thinking within the culture of an organisation;
* an understanding of the blockages that operate within the mind of all individuals that effectively stifle creativity;
* an introduction to specific techniques to overcome those blockages;
David J Hall founded the Ideas Centre in 2011, born out of a passion for creativity and innovation with a proven leadership track record at Board level in a range of sectors (both private and public).
The core rationale for the offering is as follows: the world is changing at an ever increasing pace, but the decisions we make and the behaviours that we display are based on models of “reality” derived from our understanding inevitably out-dated patterns from the past. We MUST find ways of challenging these patterns, to free up our thinking, to generate fresh and novel (i.e. creative) ideas that then feed innovation.
For the 10 years prior to The Ideas Centre, Dave was CEO of HFL Sport Science Ltd, a drug surveillance and contract research organisation based in Newmarket. More generally, since 1984 he has worked in a range of manufacturing, service and technology transfer organisations, holding positions in engineering, marketing and manufacturing management. Creativity, innovation, and a pursuit of the perfect culture provide a common thread throughout his career to date.
And that’s not all…
THE FIRST TWO PEOPLE booking their ticket will have 1 minute to showcase themselves.
There’s networking, learning hints, tips and ideas from each other too.
We’d love you to invite guests. The more people we’ll be able to help to speak more and speak better.
We’ll finish about 12.00 pm.
And once the event is over, for those who’d like to hang on there’ll be post event networking and relaxed discussion over lunch. Of course, you’ll have to provide your own food and drink but we’ll do the rest 🙂
We look forward to giving you a warm Yorkshire welcome, book now!
