18th December 2021 – Speak More, Speak Better
Twas 7 days before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The speakers were focused in front of their screen
To speak more and speak better, they were ever so keen.
It’s a festive meeting to round off the year and you’ll receive a very warm Chrimblemas Yorkshire welcome, just bring your own eggnog.
As usual we’ll be on Zoom.
8.30 am – Before the meeting actually starts we have an optional Mindfulness session as well as networking, banter and chat.
9.00 am – If mindfulness is not your thing then log on for some pre-meeting networking and a warm welcome.
9.15 am – The meeting will start promptly as we settle down to learn from our speakers how to drive your speaking business upward and onward.

The ten most important business lessons I learned running an international Speaker Bureau
Maria Franzoni spent 23 years working in and running international speaker bureaus, booking speakers globally. In that time, she did a lot of things right but also made mistakes when it came to running her business. In this session she will share the ten most important business lessons she learned so that you can apply them to your business without investing 20 years to learn them.
Maria is confident that while you may be familiar with some of what she will share, that there will be several actions that you can apply to help grow your speaking business.

• What every booker (speaker bureau, client, meeting planner) needs to know from speakers to book them more often
Maria Franzoni has held senior positions with 2 leading bureaus; CSA Celebrity Speakers and London Speaker Bureau – named by the New York Times as “the only international speaker bureau”. In 2007 she founded her own multi-million-pound Speaker bureau whilst maintaining her role at London Speaker Bureau. She now spends most of her time working with professional speakers helping them to build profitable speaking businesses.

Rikki Arundel is a Keynote Speaker, executive coach and diversity expert and was the founder of the PSA. Their career as a technology speaker ended following a change in gender in 2002.
Faced with considerable discrimination, Rikki completed a master’s degree in gender research and established themselves as a leading diversity speaker, delivering keynote presentations and workshops on trans and non-binary awareness, unconscious bias, social identity and gender equality, including two successful TEDx talks. This year Rikki was awarded the prodigious PSAE (Speaker Hall of Fame) award and was the winner of the PSA Annual Comedy Night competition.

Have you ever been challenged mentally and questioned your existence? Maria will give this motivational talk based on her own life experience.
She will take you through her story of struggle, mental and physical pain, that shaped her life purpose and pushed her to transform.

Maria is an NLP Coach, Time Line and Hypnotherapy practitioner. She has over 30 years of experience in the corporate world, international business events and managing various sales teams.
Maria developed an holistic vision to business and her passion is to help professionals overcoming their life blockages, that impact negatively their personal development and professional career.
THE FIRST TWO PEOPLE booking their ticket will have 1 minute to showcase themselves.
There’s networking, learning of hints, tips and ideas from each other too.

Cancellation Policy: Please be aware that we do not accept cancellation of bookings for PSA meetings, as we make arrangements to support the number of places booked and incur costs that cannot often be recovered. Processing your personal data: Please note that when you book an event your data will be processed in accordance with the PSA’s Privacy Notice. When you register to attend a PSA event, we share your name and contact details with the person running the event. For regional meetings, this will be the Regional President. They may share these details with members of the Regional Committee, for the purposes of contacting you about the event, welcoming you, and following up with you afterwards..
We will be taking photographs throughout the event and may also be video recording the event. By purchasing a ticket you agree that all photography may be used at the discretion of the PSA and for the business of any speaker being filmed during the event. However, if you do not wish to appear or be identified in any photography or video footage please advise any Committee member on arrival at the event so we can, of course, accommodate your preference.

We are a part of a global speakers network and so far meetings were international (thank you, ZOOM!) and we will continue connecting with our other global fellow speakers for more value exchange!
Join our monthly meetings on every 3rd Saturday of the month, the official part is between 9am – 12pm currently on ZOOM (you will receive the log in details as soon as you book your ticket). For more value feel free to join us from 8:30 am (mindfulness and clarity time) or stay longer and grab a drink (your own) whilst reflecting on the meeting, sharing successes, inspiring each other with stories…and for a mastermind!

Growth, Accountability, Improvement and Network.
Growth is all about growing as a speaker and growing your speaking business: learning new things every meeting, not only from the main speaker, but also from each other.
Accountability is about being accountable to each other for making the progress (join the meeting to find out more!)
Improvement is about knowing your strengths and weaknesses and working on those areas which will actually help you speaking business to grow and leave all the rest to…
Networking. Powerful network will not only excel the business through extra help and knowledge, but also will GET you more business. We will pay extra attention to the quality of connection and building a strong team around yourself as a speaker or presenter.
Once the world decided to go forward with the “new normal”, we will be meeting at the Thorpe Park Hotel on the outskirts of Leeds: 1150 Century Way, Leeds LS15 8ZB. Yummy biscuits, fruits and nuts with delicious hot drinks, including hot chocolate and marshmallows are guaranteed! Also, a real “after-party” is-a-must, as we can grab some lunch and continue the conversation or mastermind. The parking is FREE, but you must exchange your parking ticket at the reception before you leave the hotel.
The nearest railway station is Leeds Train Station and with enough notice, we can usually find a friendly member to offer visitors a lift. You can also stay at the hotel overnight, just call the hotel directly: 0113 264 1000.
