Behind Every Successful Speaker …

Your Business Will Fail in 2021 Unless…
How becoming a Marketing Expert will turn you into a great speaker

What’s the best way to develop a successful speaking business? You might think that all you need is to become a really great speaker. That’ll help, obviously, but it’s not enough. You actually need to become a Marketing Expert. Being good at marketing isn’t enough. Knowing a bit about marketing and how to promote your speaking business is OK, but that’s where your competitors are. To build a truly successful speaking business that brings you the income, clients and speaking gigs you really want, you have to learn to look at marketing differently. You have to learn to love it and be excited about spending time promoting yourself and your business. Only when you do this and become a Marketing Expert, can you become a brilliant speaker.

“But I hate marketing. I don’t understand it. It’s too difficult to promote myself. I don’t even know where to start!”

If she had a pound for every time she’s heard those complaints, Chantal Cornelius would nearly be a millionaire by now. Here’s the secret – marketing is not rocket science! You just need to understand why having a strategy for your marketing is more important than how much marketing you actually do. You need to simplify your marketing into just three simple elements – yes, just three! And you need to understand the tools you can use to keep going, when it feels like it’s taking too long to build your speaking business or win a new client.

In this talk, Chantal will explain it all, helping you to change the way you think about marketing. She’ll show you how to become a Marketing Expert, in order to become a truly great speaker. Chantal has been working with successful business owners and speakers for more than 20 years, helping them to become Marketing Experts. She is also a Fellow of the PSA and the PSA’s Marketing Director.

Beatrix A Schmidt
How to develop great sleep skills for life

In the United Kingdom alone approximately 20 million people struggle with insomnia and other sleep problems, not even mentioning worldwide figures! Yet solving non-medical sleep-related problems can be so simple by developing great sleep skills for life.

During this showcase, Beatrix will introduce you to the pillars of great sleep and some of the skills and tools you need to develop those sleep skills that will enable you to enjoy great quality sleep consistently.

Beatrix is a sleep coach, professional speaker and the author of The Sleep Deep Method®. Having struggled with insomnia and burning herself out in her mid-twenties, she spent the last 10 years researching sleep and learning that in order for us to sleep well at night, we need to look much deeper than just how tired we are and the number of hours we sleep. She believes that sleeping well at night is a skill that we can all develop.

She recently completed the Edinburgh Sleep Science Course, accredited by the Royal Society of Physicians and continues her research as a Senior Associate of the Royal Society of Medicine.
In her private coaching practice, she works with CEOs, Senior Managers and Entrepreneurs to help them overcome insomnia and other sleep-related problems.

As a professional speaker, she helps and supports organisations to deal with insomnia related performance issues at work through providing interactive workshops, seminars and webinars.

Outside of her client and corporate work, she is a delegate of the World Sleep Day to raise awareness globally about the impact of sleep related issues.

Welcome to PSA Scotland!

Whether you are an aspiring or established speaker in Scotland looking to meet other like-minded professionals, or are interested in speaking at a PSA Scotland event, you can be assured of a warm welcome.

PSA Scotland region is dedicated to helping members ‘Speak More. Speak Better’. You might be a trainer, consultant, coach or event/keynote speaker or you might wish to promote your business through speaking. We can definitely help you with ‘the Business of Speaking’.

At PSA Scotland we meet monthly and our events typically involve a guest speaker and/or our own members speaking. We also have opportunities for members to try out new material and receive powerful, invaluable feedback from their colleagues and friends.

Most of our events are held in the evening. We often arrange our events around the availability of visiting speakers, so please let us know if you have a speaking gig in Central Scotland and would like to speak at one of our events. We’d love to hear from you!

We have an active committee of volunteers, led by the PSA Scotland Regional President. If you have any questions, please email [email protected].

Some of our event dates are listed below and you can book a ticket via the link. Please also join us on our open Facebook page for details of our upcoming events and helpful articles and news: https://www.facebook.com/groups/psascotland.
