8th November 2021: It’s All About Engagement

PSA Scotland has another packed online event for you this November!

Ges Ray
Why stop at engaging your audiences? How do you compel, haunt, even obsess your audience to stay with you?

Customer engagement. Client engagement. Audience engagement. Phrases that trip off the tongue in business. In your business.

You know how to do this. You normally deliver engagement; been doing so for years ‘in the room’. Box ticked. Job done. Go home.

But this is a new normal. Virtual delivery is here to stay in B2B communications.

Stop for a moment to consider what stands between you and your audience, other than the looking glass of your laptop and the gorgon eye of your camera.

They are surrounded by transmedia bubble…. Every moment of every day. Advertising. Feeds. Alerts. Pounding their senses 24/7.

They’ve already ‘gone home’ with Working From Home, so why should they pay attention to you, other than for a fleeting moment of engagement?

So why stop at engagement? Why not Engage, Compel, Haunt and even Obsess your audiences?

In this interactive, participative session your mission, should you choose to accept it (cue music for those who remember the old Mission Impossible series) is to ‘engage’ with ECHO to enhance your Speak Performance skills:

• Engage your audience
• Compel them to keep listening
• Haunt them with some form of emotional engagement
• Obsess them with knowledge so they keep coming back to you

Showcase – Sam Warner
How to make open plan offices work again

Many physical businesses with offices find themselves at a crossroads, whether to bring back the workforce to the open plan office, to allow them to carry on working from home, or something in between. Sam shares her thoughts on the outdated “one size fits all” theory and what the future could look like with a fresh approach.

This is an online event. Only those who book will be sent the event link.

We discourage people from taking screenshots without consent and these should never be posted on line without express permission of attendees. If we do wish to take a screenshot for publicity purposes, we will ask beforehand and give adequate warning so that you can turn off your camera.

**Guests Welcome**
As this is an online event we may be joined by members and guests across the UK & Ireland, and indeed globally!

Welcome to PSA Scotland!

Whether you are an aspiring or established speaker in Scotland looking to meet other like-minded professionals, or are interested in speaking at a PSA Scotland event, you can be assured of a warm welcome.

PSA Scotland region is dedicated to helping members ‘Speak More. Speak Better’. You might be a trainer, consultant, coach or event/keynote speaker or you might wish to promote your business through speaking. We can definitely help you with ‘the Business of Speaking’.

At PSA Scotland we meet monthly and our events typically involve a guest speaker and/or our own members speaking. We also have opportunities for members to try out new material and receive powerful, invaluable feedback from their colleagues and friends.

Most of our events are held in the evening. We often arrange our events around the availability of visiting speakers, so please let us know if you have a speaking gig in Central Scotland and would like to speak at one of our events. We’d love to hear from you!

We have an active committee of volunteers, led by the PSA Scotland Regional President. If you have any questions, please email [email protected].

Some of our event dates are listed below and you can book a ticket via the link. Please also join us on our open Facebook page for details of our upcoming events and helpful articles and news: https://www.facebook.com/groups/psascotland.

The PSA is a member organisation covering the UK and Ireland, with sister organisations across the world under the banner of the Global Speakers Federation. For more see the page on this site at https://www.thepsa.co.uk/gsf.
